Michael Wolf

Michael Wolf is a Hong Kong-based German photographer, who is primarily known for his city photography.

Looking at Michael’s work, I found it kind of interesting, as it is about the city where I live; how he views the landscape of Hong Kong, and his various collections show the different sides to the city.

In particular, I enjoyed the “architecture of density” series (http://photomichaelwolf.com/#architecture-of-densitiy/2), where is has gotten to a high vantage point to show the uniformity of the densely packed HK residential buildings and his “Hong Kong Break” series. Where he has captured people on smoke breaks; but, not photographing the whole person just a small part e.g. a hand or foot that is coming out from the hiding place.
