Assignment 5 Preparation #1
Assignment 5 calls for “a series of 10 photographs of any subject of your choosing. Each photograph must be a unique view of the same subject; in other words, it must contain some ‘new information’ rather than repeat the information of the previous image.”
My initial reaction to this is a photo-essay on the star ferry here showing the many facets of the service from the people, the boats and its location. However, I feel that this maybe far too literal interpretation of the brief.
My tutor in his last response to an assignment has indicated that this should be a project to expand my imagination, which a should not think of literally and build the suggestions into the exercises. Also researching more the photographers mention in the unit and this research has been my downfall over this course.
If I just continue down the route of a photo – essay I could be just repeating the square mile project and not showing any development over the course.
