Review

Michael Moore was born and grew up in the city of Flint, Michigan where the major employer was the many subsidiaries of GM although he didn’t work for GM many of his friends, classmates and family members did. Therefore, when GM started closing many of these factories decimating the city of Flint, Moore did the only this he thought he could do document the process and try and get an explanation from the CEO the titular Roger.

This interview and statement prove over the course of the movie turn out to be as elusive as a unicorn; Roger Smith seemingly protected from the outside world at the level of ancient royalty.

“Roger & Me” is an original well-executed documentary, presented by a witty and engaging film-maker. Is it entirely unbalanced – no, but it is hard to see this because of how well his efforts to meet Roger Smith.
